At Lil Hoots Family Boutique, we make it simple to pass along quality clothing, earn a little extra cash, and support local families—all while promoting affordable and sustainable shopping. Whether you're cleaning out closets, changing seasons, or just looking to simplify, we’re here to make the process easy, rewarding, and worth your while.
What we Accept
We accept gently worn, clean, and current clothing for: Babies & Kids, Teens, Women, Men, Shoes, accessories, and select maternity wear.
We don't accept any items from Temu, Shein, or Ardene. All items must be freshly laundered, in excellent condition, and free of stains, holes, odour, or pet hair.
We follow seasonal trends, so we may only accept certain styles at specific times of year. Holiday-themed items (e.g., Christmas, Halloween) and winter wear (e.g., toques, mitts, heavy coats) are accepted only during the appropriate season.
Non-clothing items (e.g., toys, baby monitors, strollers) must be clean, complete, and in good working condition — batteries must be included and functional, as we do not supply them.
How it Works
You may consign up to 20 items per week, unless otherwise noted on our website or social media (for example, if we are seeking specific items or sizes). No appointment is required.
Consignors receive 40% of the selling price. Items remain on the floor for up to 120 days. After that, they are either donated or added to a donation account. Maternity wear and sports gear may stay longer, at Lil Hoots’ discretion.
Items may be marked down at any time for sales or promotions (e.g., Shoe Sale, Last Chance, Seniors’ Day).
Payouts can be requested at any time in-store as merchandise credit, or via cheque (processed on the 1st of each month with a $1 fee). Payouts must be requested verbally or in writing (email, Facebook, or Instagram).
